Hike - South Fork of the Two Medicine River

If you’ve never been in the Two Medicine drainage you will not be disappointed.   This hike will begin on an old forest service road south of route 2. The trail will start off through open meadows, aspen and lodgepole forest. Eventually we will be walking ridges to get great views of the southern end of Glacier National Park and south into Badger country.   We will pass through the Buffalo Lakes area on the way out then on down to Route 2 where we will have a short vehicle shuttle. The Badger-Two Medicine gives a great opportunity to see any species of wildlife you would expect to see in the Northern Rockies. It’s a moderate hike of about six miles.

This hike is part of Montana Wilderness Association’s Wilderness Walks Program. Participants must pre-register through their site. Registration information can be found here. Contact GTMA with any questions.
