Medicine Grizzly Lake sits nestled in a dramatic mountain cirque along Glacier National Park’s eastern border. This hike offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks, abundant wildflowers in summer, and excellent opportunities to observe wildlife in their natural habitat. The trail follows Cut Bank Creek through a mix of forest and open meadows before climbing gradually to Medicine Grizzly Lake. The pristine alpine lake is framed by rugged mountains, creating a spectacular backdrop for your wilderness experience. Keep an eye out for moose, deer, and various bird species along the way. While grizzly bears do inhabit the area (hence the name), sightings are relatively uncommon.
Meet in East Glacier across from Two Medicine Grill.
Registration opens on July 23
