Join us on a fun hike from Slippery Bill-Puzzle to Elk Calf - it's gonna be an adventure!

Location: Slippery Bill-Puzzle region of the Great Bear Wilderness to Elk Calf Mountain in the Badger-Two Medicine of Helena-Lewis & Clark National Forest
Type: Out and Back
Distance: 7 – 8 miles
Difficulty: Strenuous, 1500′ of elevation gain

Join this trip led by our Executive Director, Peter Metcalf, to a prominent peak on the Continental Divide with outstanding views of the Badger, Bob Marshall, Glacier and Great Plains. The hike will begin in the Slippery Bill-Puzzle, which connects the Great Bear Wilderness with the Badger-Two Medicine. It then climbs a grass, rock, and scree covered ridge to the peak. Discover the importance of permanently protecting these wild lands for fish and wildlife, and quiet recreation. This hike is strenuous and will cover about 7 miles and 1500′ of elevation. Official registration is with Wild Montana.
