What an incredible weekend of celebration, community, advocacy, and learning. A big thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, or supported us in person or from afar!
We kicked off Friday night with letter-writing and live music provided by John Floridis Trio. It was a night of warm welcome and advocacy action where we came together to submit comments on the Roadless Rule and Travel Management Rule.
Thank you to our wonderful speakers!
We started off on Saturday with a fascinating scientific presentation by Dr. Travis Belote on the importance of the Crown of the Continent for wildlife connectivity and conservation.
We enjoyed a keynote presentation from Dr. Martin Nie about policy changes undermining Tribal treaty rights, federal public lands protection, and co-stewardship in places like the Badger-Two Medicine.
We honored Terry Tatsey, Blackfeet Tribal Chairman and Michael Jamison, conservationist, for their long-standing dedication to the Badger-Two Medicine and partnership with Glacier-Two Medicine Alliance.
We unveiled Safe Passage, a new painting by renowned Montana artist Monte Dolack celebrating future wildlife crossings on US-2. Although Monte could not join us in person, he provided an inspiring video recording addressing the importance of this work.
Joseph Running Crane provided live music for a wonderful happy hour in the outdoor pavilion!
We were inspired by community conversations with Blackfeet partners, local conservation leaders, and agency staff about local land and wildlife management issues.
We enjoyed delicious catered lunch and dinner on Saturday, plus snacks and beverages throughout, plus our gorgeous table decorations. Thank you to our volunteers and staff who worked so hard to make this event feel special!
On a sunny Sunday morning we organized hikes into the Badger-Two Medicine and Glacier National Park.
There were abundant opportunities to make new friends and connect with old ones.
We held a fantastic live and silent auction to benefit the work of Glacier-Two Medicine Alliance. Thanks to your support, raised over $90,000 in support of our mission to protect the Badger-Two Medicine and the Crown of the Continent ecosystem!
